The 875 Series Plane is the newest addition to our line of smoothing planes and is a full size smoothing plane with a sole length of 8 3/4". This plane has a 3/8" precision ground steel sole, 3/16" thick brass sides and a new lever cap design made from 1/2" thick brass. It also features our massive 1/4" thick 0-1 tool steel iron hardened to rc60-62. This plane's body has the very recognizable lines of a Norris #13 plane. The standard pitch on this plane is 50 degrees, however this plane is also available with 55 degree pitch. Scroll down to see pictures of this plane with gold mother of pearl inlay. Presently planes are available with a rare find of Rosewood that has aged for 60 years. Because of the source this wood has been nicknamed "Picasso" Rosewood.
